Fungal Acne Safe Skincare, First.

In 2021, Alexandra Xuan was doing an internship that required wearing a mask for hours every day. She didn't think much of it until her skin started breaking out and wouldn't clear up, no matter what she tried.

It turned out the mask had created the perfect environment for malassezia (a yeast that lives on everyone's skin) to overgrow. The skincare and makeup she was using every day was actually feeding the problem, not fixing it.

Once she figured out what was going on, she started digging into fungal acne safe skincare and quickly realized how hard it was to find. The market was full of products that looked "clean" or "natural" but were loaded with ingredients that made things worse.

So in 2024, she launched AHYUN, a skincare focused brand made specifically for people with fungal acne prone skin, without the guesswork. AHYUN is proud to work alongside a female-owned lab, producing every formula right here in Southern California.
